Attack Beetle (2016)

A Giant Volkswagen Beetle with a Big Personality

Part recycled Volkswagen Beetle, part oversized mechanical creature, the Attack Beetle is a striking, larger-than-life sculpture that transforms an ordinary VW Bug into an extraordinary work of art.

This imaginative installation combines automotive design with industrial sculpture. Featuring an imposing array of steel legs and claws, the Attack Beetle resembles a giant spider-like creature, bringing a playful yet commanding presence to its surroundings.

At 22 feet long, 20 feet wide, and 10 feet high, this unusual artwork is impossible to miss. It is an eye-catching attraction with the potential to become a landmark feature at a Volkswagen dealership, commercial property, entertainment venue, or public space.

An Imaginative Transformation

Repurposing a standard Volkswagen Beetle, the Attack Beetle combines found-object art and industrial fabrication to create something truly unexpected.

The sculpture incorporates aluminum sheet, steel piping, resin, and polymer foam, transforming familiar automotive elements into an oversized creature with a distinctive personality.

Currently installed on an elevated steel platform on the rooftop of the MakerLabs building in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Attack Beetle has become a distinctive feature of the surrounding urban landscape.
